The College Park Chorale and Chamber Singers
present Dvorak's Mass in D for soloists, choir and organ.
This stunning masterwork was commissioned to consecrate a small chapel in 1887 in the Czech Republic, and the sanctuary at St Andrews is the perfect intimate space to hear it performed. At the time the mass was finished Dvorak wrote "It could be called: faith, hope and love for God Almighty, and an expression of thanks for this great gift" and indeed the music is uplifting and moving.

As a purely sonic exercise it is truly unique, but it is also an opportunity for reflection and a chance to connect with the other participants.
